Police are investigating an assault in Rutherglen which hospitalised a man.A male was transported by road ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a result of the incident.

The full extent of his injuries is currently unknown.Officers and paramedics raced to the scene of the attack that occurred at around 3.30pm yesterday in the Mill Street area of the town.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment.“Officers are following positive lines of enquiry, and a police presence will remain in the area as the investigation continues.“Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 2113 of July 11, 2023.
