Police cordon off housing estate minutes away from Southport stabbing

Multiple children and adults were reportedly attacked - with at least one fatality. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to the property, where a Taylor Swift-themed dance class was understood to have been taking place, with eight taken to hospital.
Officers later cordoned off Old School Close in Banks, a 15-minute drive away from the scene. A cordon and multiple police officers remained on the residential street, which the Liverpool Echo understands is in connection with the earlier Hart Street stabbing. Injured patients were rushed to multiple hospitals including Alder Hey Children's Hospital - which have since declared a 'major incident'.
