Freezing one thing 'could help you save £900 a year', one expert says

Brits have been urged to cut down on their household food waste to help save them an extra £900 each year which could go towards a little holiday.

Research commissioned from AO.com revealed that the average person in the UK throws away £450 in food per year, equating to 10 per cent of an average weekly food shop.

Katie Hall, a TV food waste expert and author of The Full Freezer Method, teamed up with AO to inform people how they could best make use of their fridge and freezer to save more money.

Many foods we don't think twice about throwing away could be eating away at your wallet, such as pieces of bread that could cost you over £70 a year on average, or meat and fish will could cost you a whopping £250 a year.
