Paddy McGuinness was a picture of despondency this week, as the BBC indefinitely paused production on his motoring series Top Gear. The 49 year old dad-of-three has co-presented the show since 2019 alongside ex-cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and Chris Harris, following the exit of previous stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May several years earlier, who collectively jumped ship to Amazon Prime Video for The Grand Tour.

"We understand this will be disappointing for fans, but it is the right thing to do, and we’ll make a judgment about how best to continue later this year. "This has also impacted the production team, who we continue to support.
