Outlander fans brand latest episode 'brilliant' as Jamie and Claire make their voyage back to Scotland

Outlander fans have been left delighted over the latest episode of the time-travelling drama.The fifth episode entitled 'Singapore' sees Jamie and Claire Fraser make it to Fort Ticonderoga on their voyage back to Scotland.Brianna and Roger seem to be settling into a new work-life balance in 1980, whilst back in 1777, Claire and Jamie are getting through the American Revolution.And as we're finally past the midpoint of the newest season, many other faces are slowly but surely taking up more space in the show, adding to a drama-filled plot.Episode five sees Brianna emotional over letters the pair received from Claire and Jamie.

The couple decides to open a new letter and find out that Jamie and Claire aren't on their way back to Scotland after all, and they've in fact been wrapped up in war.Back at Fort Ticonderoga, Jamie is in charge of a crew of men and Claire is providing her usual medical skills - however, things aren't plain sailing for Jamie as he alerts his superiors to a looming attack.Meanwhile, in the future Brianna is struggling with work life as she feels her male coworkers are misogynists - believing they are not keen on her being their boss.And whilst Brianna is struggling at her new workplace, Roger has his own struggles.After finding out Jemmy is getting into trouble at school for speaking Gaelic - with his teachers becoming physical with him - Roger begins to get angry at how his son is being treated.After an eventful couple of days, we find Bree where the episode started, back to the graveyard at Lallybroch.She now believes she is ready to confront the ghosts of the past and decides to talk to Jamie’s spirit and tell him what’s been going on with her and her family.Fans of the show have taken to social
