A Scots farmer has told of the disgusting moment tourists purposely left a trail of human waste after being told they can't camp on his land.

Finlay Bichan, 30, who runs a family farm on Orkney, was left shocked after politely telling occupants of a campervan, which had parked on a one-track farm road, that they couldn't stay the night. The farmer says that the tourists, believed to be French, argued that his land was 'public' and they can 'do what they want' before allegedly opening their chemical waste tank and driving off, leaving a trail of human waste in their wake.Finlay says that caravans are becoming an increasing problem on the island, with him having to move up to seven caravans a night off of his land.

He told the Daily Record: "There's never been much of a bother with campervans but since covid, it's gotten really bad."We were getting six or seven parking up at a time blocking the roads and leaving waste so we had to start telling them to move on."Finlay says that some tourists are increasingly getting aggravated when told to move on despite having signs warding off potential campers.

He continued: "We're used to moving them on every day so when I spotted the huge caravan parked on the road I mentioned it to my dad and he went down to ask them politely to move on. "They tried to tell him that it was public land and they could do what they want.
