Sam Heughan says there will be 'a lot of sadness' when Outlander ends after ten years
dailyrecord.co.ukSam Heughan admits there will be a lot of sadness among the cast and crew of Outlander when the show comes to an end.The Balmaclellan-born actor, 43, has starred as Jamie Fraser on the iconic Scots show since 2013 alongside Caitriona Balfe as Claire Fraser.
Outlander is due to end after its eighth season, which is currently on hold due to the writer and actor strikes in the US.Speaking to Radio Times, Sam gushed over his Outlander family as they gear up for the eighth and final season.
He told the publication: "It’s been such a crazy, incredible, rewarding journey. Ten years, seven seasons in, and we’re going to do one more eventually."He continued: "But I think we’re coming to realise we’re towards the end, and that it’s going to be quite a life-changing moment.
The show has been my life for a long time. I’ve made friends, we’re basically a family, and it’s going to be very odd not to see everyone again."When we finished series seven, we all realised that was the last but one.
