A man has been arrested after former Celtic player Roy Keane was allegedly assaulted. The ex-Hoops midfielder is said to have been headbutted yesterday afternoon at The Emirates Stadium.Keane was at the ground - where Arsenal play - working for Sky Sports.

He was on punditry duties for the London side's match against Manchester United - the club he captained to several honours during a 12-year spell at Old Trafford.Footage was posted on social media of fellow Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards pinning a man against a wall in the moments after the alleged assault on Sunday.The Metropolitan Police refused to identify anyone involved in the incident, but issued a statement that said: "Police are investigating an incident at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, September 3, during which a man was assaulted."On Monday, 4 September, a 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH).

The man has been taken into police custody. Enquiries are ongoing."Keane, 52, started his professional career with Cobh Ramblers in the Republic of Ireland in 1989 and signed for Nottingham Forest the following year, winning 17 trophies in his 15-years in England.He won the Full Members Cup in 1992 during his three years at Forest, under the management of the legendary Brian Clough, before teaming up with Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.He joined Celtic after winning seven league titles, four FA Cups, four Community Shields, the Champions League and Intercontinental Cup under Ferguson.
