Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag defends Kees Vos involvement in transfers

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has defended the club's transfer dealings with his agent, Kees Vos. The £72million transfer of Rasmus Hojlund and £8.6m loan fee for Sofyan Amrabat coincided with the players switching their representation to Vos' agency, SEG International.

Although SEG stated they had brought Amrabat to United, intermediaries from another agency are understood to have worked on an agreement with the Moroccan's parent club Fiorentina and SEG merely negotiated Amrabat's personal terms. Vos was previously involved in Robin van Persie and Daley Blind's moves to United in 2012 and 2014 but United went nine years without recruiting one of his clients until Hojlund arrived in July.

Cody Gakpo, also represented by Vos, was offered to United last year before he moved to Liverpool in December. When it was suggested there was a possible conflict of interest with Vos, Ten Hag replied: "It can't be, because we make very good agreements about it from the start; how we cooperate in that manner.
