Lanarkshire shoppers get full view as supermarket worker braves the shave for Diabetes UK

Shoppers at one Lanarkshire supermarket got a shock when one of the store workers took part in a sponsored head and beard shave in the middle of the shop.The Wishaw Tesco Extra store in Belhaven Road was the venue as Graham Brown braved the shave to raise cash for Diabetes UK.Staff and customers dipped into their pockets in order to help out the charity.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He looks 10 years younger!“He needed a wee bit of persuading to do it but it was for a good cause.“The charity is close to Graham and all our hearts so anything we can do to help.“I think the shoppers got a bit of a shock when they were coming in with their baskets and trollies but they were happy to donate to Graham’s total.“He went for a round of golf later in the night and I think a lot of people didn’t recognise him!”In total Graham’s shave raised over £200 for Diabetes UK which helps those living with the condition throughout the UK.The event was the Wishaw store’s latest fundraising initiative which included raising cash for the homeless in Glasgow and providing fresh fruit to nearby Clyde Valley
