Mossneuk Primary School and Nursery marked the historic coronation of King Charles III by throwing their own royal parade and playground picnic.The bunting was up and the sun came out to allow pupils and their families to have a right royal knees-up.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Landmarks included the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Shard and Harrods.Pupils and their families lined the procession route with hats and flags and waved and cheered as the parade passed by and made its way to the throne where the crowning took place.Children sang, ‘I Just Can’t Wait to be King’ before they settled down to enjoy their lunch and enjoy visiting the bake sale organised by Mossneuk’s Parent Council.Kal’s Creations generously donated a spectacular coronation cake which was raffled to raise funds for school.Head teacher Julie McGowan said: “Our picnic in the playground was a huge success and a
