A number of managers have ruled themselves out of the running for the post which has increased the speculation that the Australian could be tempted down south.
The Leeds job is not the only one that Postecoglou has been linked with since taking over in the east end of Glasgow around 18 months ago.
Just last month he was linked with the Everton hot seat after Frank Lampard was given his marching orders, while Southampton were on the look out for a new boss when Ralph Hasenhuttl was sacked in November - and the south coast club are again on the hunt for a gaffer after his successor Nathan Jones was axed.
