Kenny Dalglish has questioned Scottish refereeing after a number of high-profile talking points which have caused a storm. The Scotland legend belives St Johnstone's Nicky Clark shouldn't have been sent off in the Perth sides encounter with Rangers at Ibrox last weekend.
The striker was shown a straight red by referee Willie Collum after being urged to look at the incident on the VAR screen. Following careful consideration Clark was flashed the card after just 37 minutes.
Callum Davidson's side were already 1-0 down at the time but could have got back into the game before the break if Drey Wright's finishing was better.St Johnstone appealed the card and it was downgraded to a yellow.
Dalglish said it was "never a red", while he also took aim at Don Robertson for failing to show Dundee United defender Kieran Freeman a second yellow card for his hand ball against Celtic at Tannadice on Sunday afternoon.Celtic were 1-0 up thanks to a Jota goal at the time with Aaron Mooy slotting home the penalty to make it 2-0, and keep the Parkhead side nine points ahead at the top of the league.Writing in the Sunday Post Dalglish addressed both incidents, he said: "The main talking point was the sending-off of Nicky Clark for a tackle on Ryan Jack.
