King Charles is said to have overruled Prince William in the ongoing feud between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, with Kate Middleton reportedly reaching out to her sister-in-law to mend their differences. It's been reported that the Princess of Wales called the Duchess of Sussex to "clear the air" after Omid Scobie's book Endgame was released.
The explosive piece reignited the royal race row two years after Meghan and Harry alleged that an unnamed member of 'The Firm' had expressed "concerns" about "how dark" their son Archie's skin might be.Last year, King Charles and the Princess of Wales were implicated in the controversy when a version of Omid's book identified them as the royals involved.
Now, it's claimed by a source that the king encouraged his daughter-in-law to reach out to Meghan to end the drama after Prince William declined, reports the Mirror.
A source told In Touch Weekly: "Shortly after the book's allegations came out, Kate reached out to Meghan to clear the air," They also revealed that it was Charles who initiated the call, saying: "Charles forced Kate to become his peacemaker after William's refusal."The source added: "She agreed, because when it comes to the royal family, Kate has always taken her duties seriously - she does what she is told.
