Piers Morgan has hit out at Meghan and Harry following Kate Middleton announcing she has cancer. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales released an emotional video on Friday 22 March confirming she’d undergone a serious but successful abdominal surgery in January.

The Princess is now undergoing preventative chemotherapy after further tests revealed cancer had been present. Following the news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said they: "wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace." However, former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, who famously stormed off set after refuting claims Meghan was subject to racism at the hands of the royal family, has slammed their message.

Responding to Meghan and Harry's message to Kate, Piers wrote on X: "Is that the same Kate who they’ve been trashing as a racist?" It was revealed by ITV's royal editor Chris Ship, that the Duke of Sussex "had reached out to his brother", despite tension between the two families in the wake of Prince Harry’s tell-all book Spare.

In his memoir, Harry made a number of accusations including that his brother William had 'knocked him to the floor' during a physical altercation, Camilla has sold stories about him and that the Prince and Princess of Wales had encouraged his 2005 Halloween costume which saw him dress up as a Nazi.
