An inspirational Scots bride who fulfilled her dying wish of marrying her partner – will be laid to rest in her wedding dress after she lost her cancer battle.Danielle Waugh, formerly, Finlay-Edward, tragically died from stage four bowel cancer on Sunday, June 2.

The 39-year-old, from Glenrothes passed away at Craigielea Care Centre in Renfrew, with devoted husband John Waugh, 50, by her side, who she tied the knot with just months ago.The sweethearts were given a fairy tale wedding on Friday, March 1at the beautiful Coats in Paisley, thanks to Wedding Wish Makers and local businesses who rallied round to support Danielle.Victoria Mason, 38, says her sister will make her final journey in the white dress she wore at her fairytale wedding.Victoria told the Record: “She loved her wedding day, marrying John.

Everything was perfect. It was more than she could have ever wished for.“We’ll always be grateful to Wedding Wishmakers for making it happen.“It was one of her last big happy memories so she is being laid to rest in her wedding dress.”Victoria, who is one of four sisters, has paid tribute to her determined big sister who was told she was “too young for bowel cancer.”Danielle was first diagnosed with secondary ovarian cancer which they believe spread from her bowel, after medics discovered a mucinous carcinoma, a rare type of cancer deemed incurable.Victoria told the said: “Nothing prepares you for the loss of someone you were close to“I’m devastated but there is a sense of relief, she was in excruciating pain.“She was in horrendous pain, the hospice team and the care home has been fantastic in changing things to help manage the symptoms.“On the Saturday, I saw her struggle the most.
