Car flips on to roof in Scots town as driver 'makes off on foot'
dailyrecord.co.ukAn investigation has been launched after a car flipped and ended on its roof after a collision with a parked vehicle in an Aberdeenshire town.Officers from Police Scotland attempted to stop the vehicle on North Street in Peterhead at around 4.15pm this afternoon, June 25, before it was eventually involved in a collision with an unoccupied car on West Road in the town.
Following the collision the driver made off on foot. A 17-year-old was arrested by cops a short time after the incident.An image from the scene shows the vehicle on its roof outside a local butcher shop.
Debris lies scattered across the road as bystanders gather at the scenePolice Scotland has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A vehicle failed to stop for officers on North Street in Peterhead around 4.15pm on Tuesday, 25 June.
