Sugababes, Feeder, The Snuts among 100 new names to complete Kendal Calling 2024 line-up

Kendal Calling has announced some more acts for its 2024 festival line-up, including Sugababes, Feeder and The Snuts – check out the full list of new additions below.They join the previously announced headliners: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Paolo Nutini, The Streets, Paul Heaton & Rianne Downey and Keane.Other acts on the bill include Pale Waves, Declan McKenna, Peace, The Lottery Winners, The Reytons, CMAT, The Snuts, Kate Nash, The Pigeon Detectives, Katy B and Glasvegas.The event is due to take place at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District between August 1-4.

Paul Heaton to leave money behind the bar at pubs in Warrington for Neighbourhood Weekender
Paul Heaton has announced that he will be leaving some money behind at a few local pubs during the Neighbourhood Weekender festival.The Housemartins and Beautiful South legend took to social media to announce the free rounds of pints for those who will be in attendance of the festival.The statement posted to Heaton’s official social media accounts read: “As a thank you, and a small amount of help during the cost of greed crisis, Paul is leaving some money behind the bar at a few local pubs in Warrington so that some of you attending @nbhdweekender this weekend can have a drink on him.”According to the statement, the pubs that are involved are The Bull’s Head on 33rd Church Street, The King’s Head on 40 Winwick Street and The Cheshire Cheese on 654 Knutsford Road which are all near the festival’s site of Victoria Park.As a thank you, and a small amount of help during the cost of greed crisis, Paul is leaving some money behind the bar at a few local pubs in Warrington so that some of you attending @nbhdweekender this weekend can have a drink on him….(click on attached image for more info) pic.twitter.com/opH5HPcAv1— Paul Heaton (@PaulHeatonSolo) May 26, 2023The festival’s own pub, The Neighbourhood Inn, will also take part for any attendees who plan on heading in early to catch any acts. Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott have announced a UK headline tour for later this year – tickets will be available from here.The duo will hit the road this November in support of their fifth studio album ‘N.K-Pop’, which is due for release on October 7 via EMI. They’ll be joined at the gigs by “very special guest” Billy Bragg.Kicking off at Swansea Arena on November 26, the tour will also stop off in Blackpool (28), Glasgow (December 2), Portsmouth (5), Sheffield (9), Manchester (10) and other locations across those two months.The stint is set to culminate with a performance at London’s O2 Arena on December 17.Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am BST next Thursday (September 1) and will be priced at £30. Glastonbury 2022 confirms line-up for the Acoustic Stage
Glastonbury has confirmed the full 2022 line-up for its Acoustic Stage.This latest addition to the growing Worthy Farm bill for this year’s festival, which is held from June 22-26, follows on from recent line-up announcements for the Glade, Common, Left Field and Shangri-La areas.The Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury 2022, which specialises in blues, folk, contemporary and country music, will see headline performances from Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott (June 24), The Waterboys (25) and Suzanne Vega (26).The likes of The Undertones, Richard Thompson, Tony Christie, the Bootleg Beatles, The Shires, Brian Kennedy, Mary Coughlan, Scouting For Girls, Fisherman’s Friends, Laura Veirs, Terry Reid and this year’s Emerging Talent Competition winner, Lewis McLaughlin, will also perform on the Acoustic Stage.A post shared by Glastonbury Festival (@glastofest)“The Acoustic Stage is a festival within a festival,” a statement on Glastonbury’s website reads. “For the last 30 years or so, people have been trooping up to the hill to the haven of the Acoustic field.“The crowds visit the Acoustic Stage to either avoid the rain and, maybe even, the sun – in the sanctuary of [our] super-duper circus tent – or, to hear acoustic, song-based music.”Last week the official site map for Glastonbury 2022 was shared by the festival organisers, giving ticketholders their first look at site changes and new areas at this year’s festival.
