A new Christmas light trail has arrived at Heaton Park for the festive season. The makers of the hugely popular Dunham Massey event have created Christmas at Heaton Park, which launched on Friday night and will run throughout December.
We were among the first to sample the new trail, which takes you on a walk around the lake, which clearly received the memo to be frozen over and glistening for opening night.
You start off in the Food Village where there are stalls selling a range of snacks alongside a fairground with children's rides including traditional swings, a helter skelter and dodgems. The Doughnut & Cookie Cabin had sold out of hot chocolate and the queue for the other drinks bar was a bit too long so we decided to leave those.
