Heartbroken husband says wife is 'terribly missed' after vanishing near Ayrshire loch four week ago

Police officers in Ayrshire are today continuing to appeal for any information that can help in tracing missing Cumbrian woman Mary Monkman - four weeks on after she was last seenMary, 49, is believed to have travelled to the Loch Doon area of Ayrshire on Friday, 16 June, from her home in Kendal, Cumbria.

Her car, a red Nissan Juke, was found parked at the west side of the loch shortly after 7.30pm later that evening.Officers have conducted extensive searches in the Loch Doon and surrounding area, however, Mary has not been seen, or spoken to, since this time.Mary's family previously said they were mystified as to where she'd gone.In a statement released through Police Scotland today, Mary’s husband Geoff said: “We miss her so much. "She was always coming up with new ideas for work and for home, and they usually started with ‘I’ve just been thinking…’. "She can always see the potential, she’s always looking to the future. "I have to hope that Mary is out there reading this, somewhere.

Mary, if you see this, just know that we love and miss you terribly.
