The UK Foreign Office has issued a dire warning to Brits in Lebanon, with an urgent message saying "get out now" and cautioning "do not rely on us to evacuate you".Amidst rising tensions in the region, the government organisation, which issues travel advice to British nationals, has released a grave alert for all UK passport holders presently in Lebanon as the crisis intensifies, reports Birmingham Live.In an update issued on Wednesday (July 31), the the Foreign Office "advises against all travel to Lebanon due to risks associated with the ongoing conflict between Israel, Lebanese Hizballah, and other non-state actors in Lebanon."The guidance highlighted the volatile nature of the situation, noting: "Tensions are high and events could escalate with little warning, which could affect or limit exit routes out of Lebanon.

In the event of deterioration in the political or security situation, commercial routes out of Lebanon could be severely disrupted or cancelled at short notice, and roads across the country could be closed." Stressing the limited assistance that could be provided by the British embassy, the advice further elaborated, "The British embassy may be increasingly limited in the assistance that it can provide.

If you are currently in Lebanon, we encourage you to leave.", It followed up firmly with: "Do not rely on FCDO being able to evacuate you in an emergency."Britons were advised to maintain their own contingency measures, with the recommendation: "You should have a personal emergency plan that does not rely on the UK government.
