glamour.comThe Bachelorette with , ABC sent out a press release announcing that Grant Ellis, who—spoiler alert—was eliminated at the latest rose ceremony, will be the franchise's next leading man.“After an emotional exit, Grant Ellis’ journey to find love will continue as he takes on the role of leading man for the upcoming 29th season of The Bachelor,” the release said. “The adventurous day trader, who captured the hearts of Bachelor Nation with his genuine desire to build a future centered around family…will be handing out roses when his season premieres next year on ABC.”Meet your new Bachelor!Following his elimination, the 30-year-old Houston, Texas resident said he felt empty after expressing his love for Jenn and it not being good enough. “It just sucks knowing that you feel a certain way about somebody and they don’t feel the same way about you,” he said. “I want to be happy, I want a family, I want a wife.
I want to be in love. I want to give everything to somebody and have them give me that in return. I don’t know what else to say.
I did not think that was going to happen tonight.”In last week's episode, Ellis had his first one-on-one date with the Bachelorette.
The two had a genuine connection, and he lasted another week on the show, but not before being sent home prior to hometowns (airing next Monday, August 19).Now, with Ellis in the drivers seat, he should have no problem finding that special someone who's ready to go the distance with him.
