FLO join forces with Missy Elliott for Work It-sampling new single Fly Girl
officialcharts.comFLO are teaming up with none other than Missy Elliott for their brand new single, Fly Girl. The kinetic R&B track is due to drop soon via Island, and features a sample of Missy's iconic 2022 hit Work It, which hit Number 6 on the UK's Official Singles Chart.
Announcing the new collaboration via their social media this afternoon, Renée, Stella and Jorja posted a graphic revealing that not only will Fly Girl sample Work It, but Missy herself will be making an appearance on it too.
Fly Girl seems set to be FLO's first big statement piece of the year - following an extraordinary rise last year, which saw them not only named as the BRITs Rising Stars of 2023, as well as the winners of the annual (and very influential) BBC Sound Of...2023 poll.
With the two wins, FLO became both he first girl band (and group in general) to be named as the BRITs Rising Star for 2023 and the first girl group to be named the BBC's Sound Of...winner.
