Families say they've been left out of pocket after this year's Geronimo family festival was cancelled. The event first took place at Tatton Park back in 2015, featuring stars of CBeebies and CITV, but over recent years has been held at Arley Hall in Cheshire.

This year's festival was supposed to be happening over the final bank holiday weekend in May, but has now been called off, with organiser Simon Goldman blaming 'current economic conditions', including 'spiralling costs' to stage the event and 'the significant squeeze' on disposable household income. After notifying our ticket holders first, we confirm that sadly Geronimo 2023 has had to be postponed to protect the future of the festival." Karolina Matczak-Skublicka, from Cadishead, Salford, had booked for two adults and two children, for the festival and camping.

While she has been refunded for her tickets, she says she has lost more than £40 in booking fees. "I received an email about the festival not going ahead and that all tickets are rolling over to next year," she said. "The dates are different next year so I emailed customer services requesting a refund. "It was not mentioned in the initial email that refunds are being offered, but I was clear in my email I would like a full refund.
