Miranda Wayland, a former senior Amazon and BBC diversity exec, is to run the UK’s Creative Diversity Network (CDN). The body runs the industry-backed Project Diamond diversity data collection project.

Wayland will lead the CDN’s work on Diamond annual reports and other ‘deep dives’ into specific areas, as well as the implementation of a new iteration of the diversity monitoring and reporting tool.

She will also be responsible for delivering cross-industry initiatives, working with producers, broadcasters and other TV and creative industry bodies to improve inclusivity and career opportunities for members of under-represented groups.

She replaces Deborah Williams, who recently stepped down after eight years. Wayland is a highly experienced diversity exec. She used to be Head of Workforce and Creative Diversity and Inclusion at the BBC before moving to Amazon MGM Studios, where she took on the Head of International Content Strategy for DEIA role.
