A local business-owner says staff have been left 'scared' after a burglary at their store. Police were called to Radium Street in Ancoats following a break-in at Flat Baker on Tuesday (August 20).
Officers were called to the unit at 8.45am after money was stolen. Speaking to the M.E.N, Flat Baker owner, Deborah Brandao, described the moment staff came to work to find their shop in a state. "We found the bakery opened and my tiny desk where my desk is was a huge mess," she said. Luckily, he left the laptop, the iPad and these expensive appliances. "I presume because they leave traces behind so he just came for cash.
He took money from a small money pot that we keep just in case, it was less than £100, we don't keep cash on the premises." Deborah posted about the burglary on the business' Instagram account sharing pictures and videos of a masked man rummaging through the unit.
