Schools, hospitals and a theatre in Greater Manchester have been identified as having dangerous crumbling concrete. Councils and social housing providers across the region are checking their estates for signs of the problem.

The biggest disruption caused by the crisis is in schools. In Greater Manchester, seven have been named on a government list.

That run-down was released following mounting pressure on ministers to reveal the scale of the problem in educational settings.

Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) has hit the headlines after primaries and secondaries across the country were found to have the potentially dangerous material.

Netflix is reportedly planning to raise its prices for its ad-free service after the Hollywood actors’ strike ends.The streaming service is “discussing” raising prices in “several markets globally,” and will likely increase fees in the US and Canada first, according to a Wall Street Journal report, citing anonymous sources.It was not immediately clear how much Netflix will raise its prices by or when exactly the new prices will take effect, according to the report.
