Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino to “stay off the road for the time being”

Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino has confirmed that he will not be joining the band on the road “for the time being”.The percussionist shared the news on an Instagram Stories post earlier this week, while thanking fans for their support after his major surgery in 2023.“As you may know,” he wrote, “last year, I had to undergo spinal surgery, which resulted in me having to miss Interpol tour dates.”“While the surgery and recovery has been successful, thus far, unfortunately I’m dealing with continued health issues – and will have to stay off the road for the time being.”“I apologize to all our fans,” he continued. “Thank you for all your continued support.”Interpol recently added an extra Ireland date to their 2024 ‘Antics’ 20th anniversary UK and European tour.The indie veterans have announced plans to play their second LP in full across the UK in November, including stops in Manchester, Glasgow, London and more.Now, they will wrap up their anniversary shows at Dublin’s 3Arena on November 10.
