New Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claimants can now make use of a new service to help them apply. However, it only applies to certain postcodes across England including parts of Greater Manchester.

Those in the selected areas can now apply online as part of the first step of a national rollout. Previously, the online application service was only available for a small number of claimants who initially called the PIP phone line to begin the claim.

According to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), over 9,000 people have already tested the new service in England. This will make it easier for people to make a claim for the benefit and receive the money they are entitled to. I look forward to the service being available to all claimants by 2024.” Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link According to the DWP, claimants can only currently take advantage of the service across and near Greater Manchester if they live in Trafford, Manchester, Tameside, or Cheshire East.
