Dumfries and Galloway rugby star lands Glasgow Warriors contract
dailyrecord.co.ukGregor Hiddleston has signed a professional deal with Glasgow Warriors. The 21-year-old from Shawhead joined the club in 2022 on a partnership deal with FOSROC Super6 side Stirling Wolves, having come through the ranks at Dumfries Saints.
And he has now signed a full-time deal at Scotstoun, after making his pro debut for the Warriors against Exeter Chiefs in the Investec Champions Cup last month.
Hiddleston told the Glasgow Warriors website: "I’m over the moon. “To have been on a partnership deal first of all, then to get the chance to go all the way and become a full-time pro, it’s an incredible feeling. “I’m still on cloud nine from my debut, to be honest!
I was really nervous during the week, but as the game got closer I was absolutely fine and just relished the challenge. “There’s a great group of players here – you only have to look at the strength in depth at hooker.
