Waterloo Road star Hattie Dynevor has opened up about her famous mum's support after landing her first big TV role - and has addressed whether we'll see her following in her Coronation Street footsteps.

Last summer Sally Dyenvor, famed for playing Sally Metcalfe in the ITV soap, said she 'couldn't be prouder' as it was announced Hattie would be joining the cast of Waterloo Road.

Fans of the BBC drama have since seen the actress in action as school pupil Libby Guthrie. And it's fair to say her character made her mark with her sweet image but devious personality having run away from her mum in New Zealand to her dad, history teacher Neil Guthrie.
