‘Derry Girls’ Creator Lisa McGee Signs With CAA

EXCLUSIVE: Lisa McGee has signed with CAA for U.S. representation. McGee is creator, writer, and executive producer of the British teen comedy Derry Girls, which ran for three seasons on the UK’s Channel 4, and was acquired by Netflix after the success of its first season.

She has earned several awards for Derry Girls, including this year’s BAFTA Award for Best Scripted Comedy and Best Writer, Comedy.

McGee is currently writing her next series, a comedy thriller titled How to Get to Heaven From Belfast, which has been greenlit for eight episodes by Channel 4.

Her previous work includes Channel 4’s six-part sitcom London Irish; the psychological thriller The Deceived, which she co-created and co-wrote with Tobias Beer for the British Channel 5; as well as Raw, which she created, and ran for five seasons on the Irish Network RTE.
