Davina McCall speaks out on Big Brother return and says 'we have' as viewers say the same thing

Davina McCall has spoken out on the return of Big Brother as she was forced to miss watching it along with everyone else as it returned to screens on Sunday night (October 8).

The influential social experiment, which sees housemates live together in a custom-built home for weeks without access to the outside world in a bid to win £100,000, has opened its doors for the first time in five years.

It also has a new home on the small screen after previous stints on Channel 4 and Channel 5. Big Brother started in 2000 on Channel 4 before Channel 5 took over in 2011, airing in the UK for a total of 18 years. But as viewers tuned in to see the contestants enter the brand new house, Big Brother fans couldn't help but mention the show's original presenter. @FThoughtLess1 shared a snap of Davina and wrote on X, previously known as Twitter: "I can’t be the only one missing this legend…and the energy they brought #BBUK." @mariadempseyy commented: "Missing Davina and her fancy another one x." @prxts shared: "I miss Davina. #BBUK." @pinkdisco tweeted: "This feels so wrong without Davina #BBUK." @EssexChrissie wrote: "I love the fact that #bbuk is back, but I still miss Davina presenting it." @elclco added: "Can we just bring back Davina McCall already?
