Two years to the date after their February 22, 2021 breakup, Daft Punk have announced a 10th-anniversary reissue of their final album as a duo, 2013’s Random Access Memories.
The expanded edition — scheduled for a May 12 drop — will contain eight previously unreleased demos, outtakes, and alternate versions, combining for a total of 35 minutes of music.
Among the added cuts are a track called “Horizon” that appeared on the record’s Japanese physical release, an early take of the ubiquitous “Get Lucky,” an unfinished track called “Prime,” and the eight-minute “Epilogue” they released two years ago along with the announcement of their disbandment after a 28-year run.
Today’s news comes less than a month after Thomas Bangalter (half of Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) announced Mythologies, an orchestral suite that will be his debut studio LP outside the duo, due out April 7 via Erato and Warner Classics.
