The actress has been at the forefront of the ITV soap in recent weeks as Dee-Dee Bailey represents Roy Cropper who has been charged with the murder of Lauren Bolton.
The beloved cafe owner has been DS Lisa Swain's main suspect in the disappearance of the teenager which quickly became a murder probe after blood was found in the flat she was sub-letting from Evelyn Plummer.
Roy was quickly placed in the frame after he was revealed as the last person to see Lauren alive - and misguidedly deep-cleaned Lauren’s flat after she mysteriously disappeared in a bid to help his friend.
