Joel first appeared on the street, played by Callum Lill, when he nearly lost Dee-Dee Bailey her job. He was soon inviting Dee-Dee out for a drink, explaining that he needed to pick her brain about US law but it was just a ruse as he hoped to land a date with the local lawyer.
He has since made himself more comfortable in Weatherfield having now struck up a relationship with Dee-Dee. During Monday night's (January 22) Corrie, Joel was seen at Dee-Dee's flat as she planned to cook a romantic meal for the pair following his support throughout her family turmoil after her dad's gambling relapse was revealed. Ed quickly realised he was interrupting something but Joel insisted his girlfriend spend time with her dad and that he head off.
