Callum McGregor believes Celtic have shown all the signs that they’re ready for the Champions League after a statement win at Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers’ team stuttered badly ahead of their trip across Glasgow. But a 1-0 win with no fans inside Ibrox has been hailed as a turning point following a couple of poor results and McGregor reckons it was the perfect preparation for a tricky test away to Feyenoord at De Kuip on Tuesday night.

After competing last season but only managing two points in six games, better is expected on the continent this time around.

Rodgers’ remit includes more success in Europe, which he himself insists means still being there after Christmas. And his skipper believes silencing the Govan masses will stand them in good stead for a hostile reception in the porty city of Rotterdam.
