Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon reckons he knows exactly what Brendan Rodgers will be thinking ahead of Tuesday's Champions League bow. Celtic are in Rotterdam for their opener with Feyenoord and it's champions vs champions with the Eredivisie leaders lying in wait.

The Dutch are fancied to do the business by the bookies but Lennon, who arguably masterminded the Hoops' most famous Champions League result in recent memory against Barcelona, reckons a "pragmatic" approach is the way to go.And he believes Rodgers will be thinking exactly that when he delivers his team talk in the Netherlands.

Lennon said on PLZ: "It's all about how they perform. This is the Champions League, this is the blue ribbon event."The group's alright.

You want one team to run away with it and the three of them then fight for second and third place. I see Atletico being the strongest team, you want them to take points off everybody else.
