Luis Palma has dedicated his firs Honduras goal to two of his sporting heroes as he sets the stage for his Celtic debut.The winger continued his form at Aris that won him a move to Brendan Rodgers' side, scoring once and assisting another in a 4-0 win over Grenada in a CONCACAF Nations League clash.
Palma was back in the international fold this month after being controversially excluded from the Gold Cup squad in the summer and has immediately proved his worth.Over the weekend against Jamaica, Palma failed to score in the 1-0 loss, and that was source of personal angst for the new Celtic star.
Speaking to Honduran journalist Oscar Funes, he revealed some telling words from national team legend David Suazo proved key, as he dedicated his penalty strike that put his team 3-0 up to him and the man many regard as Honduras greatest-ever player, Carlos Pavon.
He said: "In the first minutes I was a little restless."David Suazo told me to be calm, that the ball was going to reach me.
