Boy, 15, rushed to hospital after reports of stabbing in south Manchester as police seen 'all over'

A teenager has been rushed to hospital following reports of a stabbing in south Manchester. Local residents described seeing police 'all over' after the incident on Cranwell Drive in Burnage at around 7pm last night (August 16).

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening. Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

He remains in custody waiting to be quizzed by detectives. Police say their enquiries are ongoing. Neighbours in the area said on social media that there was a heavy police presence around the area on Wednesday night.
