Boy, 13, dies after police called to 'medical emergency' at house

A 13-year-old boy has died after police were called to a 'medical emergency' at a house in Middleton. Police officers and paramedics responded to the incident just before 10.10am this morning (Monday).

The boy was rushed to the Royal Oldham Hospital from the scene. Tragically, he died there, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of a medical emergency at an address on Pilkington Street in Middleton at around 10.08am this morning (Monday 12 February 2024).

Despite the best efforts of emergency services personnel, a 13-year-old boy sadly died at Royal Oldham Hospital. "Enquiries have been conducted and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
