Biker dies 10 days after horror crash with van on Scots road

A motorcyclist has died 10 days after being involved in a crash with a van in Perthshire.Emergency services raced to the A822 between Gilmerton and Amulree after the alarm was raised at around 2.10pm on Friday, May 17.

The crash involved a blue Honda motorcycle and a silver Ford Transit van.The 65-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with serious injuries, where he later died on Monday, May 27.

Officers from Police Scotland are continuing to appeal for information following the incident.Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2167 of Friday, May 17, 2024.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
