Police are hunting a group of Chester FC supporters heard shouting an 'appalling' chant about Lucy Letby during their game against Hereford on Tuesday night.

Letby, who was born in Hereford, is the most prolific child serial killer in post-war British history. Lat month, she was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others while working as a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester hospital in 2015 and 2016.

Chester have condemned the disgraceful chant, with vice-chair Jim Green insisting it "demonstrated a deeply concerning lack of compassion, understanding and decency".

A hunt is now on to find those chanting, with CCTV footage being analysed, reports The Mirror. Try MEN Premium for FREE by clicking here for no ads, fun puzzles and brilliant new features.
