Killer nurse Lucy Letby appeared to live a relatively normal life as a young and single woman before she was jailed for life for her sickening crimes. She enjoyed annual holidays with her parents, went salsa dancing with friends and had two cats, Tigger and Smudge. Her life now as a Category A prisoner and the fourth woman in Britain to be handed a whole-life order could not be more different.Letby's £200,000 Chester home has been sold, her pets re-homed and with a life-long sentence, she will never spend time outside of prison again - dying behind bars.As reported in the Mirror, the former NHS neonatal nurse was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others between June 2015 and June 2016.

With more parents now coming forward fearing that Letby harmed their babies, we take a look at the dark experiences the serial killer will be expected to have in prison and the types of treatment she could receive - from boiling hot water attacks by inmates to constant violence and screams all night long and the added punishment she'll likely face when her family passes away.It is believed that the 33-year-old will be on suicide watch for months at HMP Low Newton before she is allowed to mix with other prisoners and she will mostly likely interact with prison officers "through the hatch in her cell door".While some prisoners are allowed certain privileges such as being granted a day release for family funerals, it is said to be "extremely unlikely" that baby killer Letby will be permitted any sort of day release.

This means that when the time comes, she will not be able to attend the funeral of her parents, Susan and Jonathan Letby, according to chartered security professional James Bore.
