Manchester United ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka believes his battle for the right-back spot with Diogo Dalot is a positive for both themselves and the club.
Wan-Bissaka, who looked set to be on the way out of United ahead of last season's January transfer window, has resurrected his United career this year and started the season opener against Wolves at Old Trafford on Monday night.
He provided the assist for the game's only goal, teeing up Raphael Varane to head home the winner. In the build-up to the season curtain-raiser, much of the debate centred around who manager Erik ten Hag would select at right-back, with both Wan-Bissaka and Dalot having been given ample opportunities to impress during pre-season.
Wan-Bissaka's performance against Wolves was a rare positive on a night of frustrations for United, despite getting the season off to a winning start, meaning he is poised to retain his place at Tottenham Hotspur this tea-time.
