So what are the scams? Here is what you need to know.Trevor warns: "To protect yourself, always be cautious of unsolicited messages, especially those requesting personal information or money."Verify the identity of the sender through other channels, and never share sensitive data or codes with anyone.
Stay vigilant, and report any suspicious activity to WhatsApp and the appropriate authorities".For this scam, fraudsters will try to impersonate your family member by, usually, pretending to be the victim’s child, claiming they've lost their phone and are using someone else’s phone, and need money urgently.
