A woman who thought she was going to live a 'long, happy life' with her partner had her world turned upside down when he was allegedly killed with one punch the night before her sister's wedding.

Kaitlyn Booth, 22, has spoken of her grief following the death of her boyfriend Jack Jermy-Doyle, who suffered irreversible brain damage and was pronounced dead two days after the alleged attack in August last year.

Kaitlyn woke up early on August 12 to get ready for her sister's wedding, but discovered that her phone was full of notifications.

The previous night, she had listened to a voicemail left by her partner during the fateful night, in which he told her how much he loved her.
