Violent thug who stabbed XL Bully during heated argument with girlfriend jailed

A vicious thug who repeatedly stabbed an XL Bully dog after he argued with his girlfriend has been jailed for 15 months.Jordan Richardson, 27, targeted the animal after his partner kicked him out of her home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.He had returned to the property claiming he had been attacked but then grabbed a seven-inch knife from the kitchen and left.The yob then spotted the XL Bully in a nearby garden before he stabbed it twice on the body.The dog was rushed to a vets where the animal received nine stitches in March this year.Richardson, a prisoner in HMP Addiewell, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner, possession of a knife and repeatedly striking the dog with the blade.Depute fiscal Aga Mathieson told the court: "His girlfriend informed him that she did not want to continue the relationship and asked him to leave her address."He left and returned within 15 minutes and was making some allegation that someone had assaulted him and she thereafter let him in."He went into the kitchen and grabbed a large black handled knife and was shouting and swearing."He attended a different address nearby where within the premises was an XL Bully dog which was running around."At this point, he began acting erratically and started swinging the knife towards the dog."He then stabbed the dog twice with the knife to the side of his body and was again shouting and swearing."Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today.You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland.No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team.All you have to do is click here
