Fun run and family day to take place in Ayrshire this weekend
dailyrecord.co.ukMauchline Community Association is gearing up for their annual fun run and family day this weekend.Everyone is being encourage to sign up for the event which is taking place on Sunday (August 25).Setting off at Beechgrove Park at 11.30am, the 5k weaves its way around the town with entrants free to walk, run or jog their way around.Entries to the 5k Fun Run cost £5 for adults and £3 for under 16s and the community association are keen to see as many kids sign up for the event as possible.Chairperson Alan Cook said: "Mauchline Fun Run and Family Day is taking place on Sunday."We'd like to encourage as many children and adults to sign up for the fun run as possible.
We've had an good response but we've got scope for a lot more."On the day, which kicks off at 11.15am and runs till 3pm, there will also be a range of entertainment and stalls including a zip wire, climbing wall, alpacas, large inflatables and Kilmarnock FC's hexagoal.
