Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins addressed the sacking of ex-BBC star Jermaine Jenas on the latest episode of the morning programme, delivering the fresh news to viewers about the dismissal.
Speaking during Friday's show, she commented: "Now, we don't know the exact circumstances of what's gone on here. He has said there are two sides to every story and he will let his lawyers deal with it." Describing the BBC's response in just a handful of words, Charlotte declared, "swift and decisive action".
She added: "But, there's no doubt, is there, that the BBC have taken swift and decisive action on this one." Concurring with her sentiments was guest Ava Evans, who found it astounding that the 41-year-old had been presenting a radio programme on air only Thursday night before the allegations started to mount.
She further observed, "The BBC has had to learn some really hard lessons from not taking decisive action over the last few years and I think that this is an example," reports the Express.
